Be Like a Koala, Get a Good Nights Sleep

Sleep is a vital, often neglected, component of every person's overall health and well-being. Sleep enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day. Having adequate rest & sleep may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease and increased illness duration. Having enough sleep helps to avoid feeling below par and not being able to function properly.

Just imagine going for a whole day without food, you would feel pretty hungry, but you could probably manage. Now consider going a whole night without any sleep at all, the next day would be very difficult.

The average person spends around 26 years sleeping in their life which equates to 9,490 days or 227,760 hours. Surprisingly, we also spend 7 years trying to get to sleep. If you find sleep difficult, help is at hand.

A Baby Sound Machine, one offering white noise, soothing music, and nature sounds, is essential to your baby getting a good night’s sleep. A mother’s womb is a very loud environment, and the silence outside the womb can be very uncomfortable for the baby, so a baby sound machine can help baby & parents get a good nights sleep.

According to the Adelaide Zoo, Koalas eat for around 3 hours per day, they rest & sleep for 16 to 18 hours a day. They sleep so much because they need time and energy to digest their food. It takes a lot of energy to digest the fibrous leaves of the eucalyptus tree. Sleep is so important to our human bodies too, so be like a Koala, get a good nights sleep.

Bonus Fact: Koalas have fingerprints which are almost identical to human ones ... not even careful analysis under a microscope can easily distinguish the loopy, whirling ridges on a Koalas' fingers from a humans, and it's not unknown for a poor innocent Koala to inadvertently be a suspect in a criminal case in Australia!
